Connecting Your Google My Business Account to Swell

Steps on how to connect your GMB account with Swell, allowing you to reply to Google Reviews.

One of the many things you can do to help improve your Google ranking, appear higher in local online searches, and increase engagement with your patients or customers is to respond to reviews that are published on your Google My Business Page. Swell makes this easy by allowing you to respond to those reviews directly from your Reviews page within your Swell account.

To enable this feature, you'll just need to connect your Google My Business Page to your Swell account. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Locations
  2. Select the Edit or Pencil icon on the location you'd like to change.
  3. Select Connect Accounts > Select Connect My Google Business Account
  4. When prompted, log in with the email account that owns your Google My Business listing. *It MUST be the same email that manages and has all permissions for your Google Listing*
  5. Once you've connected the account, go back to Settings > Locations > Edit the location > Connect Accounts, and click the Google account you just connected. This will bring up a new window. You will need to click your business location and click save here so that it integrates properly.

        If there is not a location to select in step 5, likely, the Google login used for this step does not manage your Google Business Listing. If this is the case, remove the connection and sign into the correct account that manages your Google Business listing.
