Manage multi-factor authentication via your federated identity provider (IDP)

Use your federated identity provider to provide MFA for Swell

Configure Swell to trust your federated identity for MFA

By default, Swell implements multi-factor authentication on all user accounts directly. However, this verification may be redundant for customers who require their users to log in with a federated identity provider such as Microsoft Entra or Google Workspace, which often implement MFA as well. Customers who meet the following requirements are eligible to disable Swell's direct verification in favor of their IDP solution:

  • You must require all users to log in to Swell with your federated identity provider IDP (Microsoft and Google are supported).
  • Your security configuration must require multi-factor authentication for all authenticated users.

If you meet these criteria and would like to disable Swell's direct verification, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
